In short, Maye and I are alike.There's no shadow cast for the dynamic, dual-threat quarterback on the burgeoning Patriots club, which is a fun watch with North Carolina's second-year pro at the helm.He's certainly been productive and shown the desire and ability to make big plays on the line.However, this Patriots club has enjoyed a last-place schedule and faces a stretch where it could realistically drop three of four.Those games include a road date in Cincinnati (with QB Joe Beer possibly back from injury), a rematch with the Bills that could decide the winner of the AFC East, and a visit from the revived Ravens.We just don't see Maybe holding up as a contender on this schedule, and we don't see any value in that prospect.

Mahomes (+600): After the 28-7 win over the Commanders, the almost consensus MVP narrative was that Mahomes should have lost.That cost around +130 at best, with AFC opponent Josh Allen seen as the only real contender.(5-4) has a lot of work to do if they want to beat the Chargers (7-3) and Broncos (8-2) to maintain their dominance in the AFC West.The first step is a scrimmage in Denver on Sunday, and we believe Mahomes, who has a habit of recalling the football, will keep an eye on the talent of his generation when he and the executives are in some doubt in the MVP0 race.This is one of the best MVP value windows we've seen this season.

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel (+125) is now the favorite this year ahead of the Colts' Shane Steichen (+150).Those odds would undoubtedly be even higher if the Colts hadn't survived a shaky performance to win 31-25 in overtime against the Falcons in London.The odds reflect the Colts' lack of confidence in finishing in the dominant fashion they started, even if the AFC South title appears to be headed their way.

In other words, the theoretical tiebreaker goes in the direction of the Vrabels and the Patriots, the individuals and franchises that are more popular.If the Colts (8-2) and Patriots finish two 12-5 with the division title, we expect it to be better at night, while the Colts are already 10 games into the game when they return from the bye.
