The actress, whose role was written by her son Joe Anders, said she only plans to star in and produce the film.When she got the opportunity to direct the filmWinslet said that at first she thought she"Can't do three things"
"I know I'm good at multitasking, but this is a lot," Winslet told Digi Spy."I was desperate to recast [and] I had a really good list of a handful of people who would be absolutely brilliant in the role."
He continued: "But at that time... well, first of all, Netflix was like, 'uh-huh,' and secondly, I lost all these amazing actors. How could I not go and play with them? Because that's what we do. We play, we pretend, and it's amazing."

“Goodbye June,” now showing in select theaters, tells the story of four older siblings and their father as they manage their family amid the deteriorating health of their sick mother.Winslet plays Julia, one of June's children, and Helen Mirren plays June, the head of the family.
"I know it sounds a little cheesy, but we had to really become a family to make it feel as real as possible and as compelling as possible," added Winslet.
In addition to Winslet and Mirren, Goodbye June stars Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough and Timothy Spall.Additional cast members include Stephen Merchant, Physio Akinade, Jeremy Swift and Raza Jaffrey.
The movie will be released on December 24 after its release.
