6th Cuban in the World Cup for Paratriathlon
HAVANA, SEPTEMBER 3 (ACN) Cuban Jorge Ulises Calzada achieved his best international result by finishing sixth today in the PTS5 class at Indra World Cup Paratriathlonin Portugal.
Calzada clocked 1:16:31 hours, in a 780m swim paratriathlon, three laps of 6200m by bike and a 5km race.

Additionally, Calzada won the Sprint National Championship on May 29, which earned him 150.00 points for the world standings, 170.80 points were added to his performance at Swansea, for a total of 320.80.
The Cuban is 35th in the PTS5 class standings, but should improve after an update with today’s stats in Alhandra.
For Latin America, only three Brazilians and one Mexican appeared on the world list ahead of Calzada, who was the only Latin American in his class today at the Portuguese port city Mundial.
The top goal for the Caribbean is to add positive entries and points with the desire to qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, a dream that is difficult to achieve, but not impossible.
