Jessa Duggar Seewald shared a message of support for Kendra Duggar's mother-in-law after Kendra's husband Joseph Duggar was arrested for child abuse, and then deleted the Instagram post.

Over the weekend, Jessa (who is married to Ben Sewald) broke her silence after Joseph was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl during the 2020 incident.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s 31-year-old son was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior (molestation of a victim less than 12 years old) and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.

"We heard this sad news along with the rest of the world on Wednesday and are in complete shock," Jessa, 33, wrote on her Instagram Story."Our hearts go out to this innocent young girl and we know this is very sad for a God who cares for children and the vulnerable. We keep her in our prayers."

He came to support Kendra, Joseph's wife and their three children, he wrote: "As a family, we have come together to support Kendra and her children during this difficult time."

However, the post appears to have been deleted shortly after.

On Friday, March 20, the Tontitown Police Department announced (via People) that 27-year-old Kendra is now facing charges along with her husband.

According to People, Kendra was arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and released on March 20, according to jail records. It's unclear if Jessa deleted her message after learning of the additional charges.

Last week, the Bay County Sheriff's Office in Florida announced via a March 18 Facebook post that "Bay County investigators have been contacted by an investigator with the Tontitown Police Department regarding a report of a prior sexual assault."

The Sheriff's Office said a 14-year-old victim disclosed "several incidents" involving Joseph that allegedly occurred when she was 9 years old during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020.

The father of four - who married Kendra in September 2017 - made his first court appearance via Zoom on March 20 and waived an extradition hearing, clearing the way for his extradition to Florida.

Joseph's brother Josh Duggar was arrested on April 29, 2021 for receiving and possessing child pornography. He pleaded guilty to all charges and is currently behind bars.
