Underground picture. Meeting with Lucy Saint
On the occasion of the publication of his latest bookUnderground photo“(KO . books), we received in our auditorium one of the most daring voices in American social and cultural history, Lucy SantiWho will talk to the writer and editor rocha service. Together they will share their own analysis of contemporary, avant-garde concepts and counterculture.
The author of related works such as “Kill Your Idols” or “Low Money”, which is a key milestone in the story of our cultural history, returns with “Portrait Underground”, a collection of articles published between 1993 and 2020 by Lucy Sante that is the same in the most Variety: New York in the ’70s and ’80s, Patti Smith, Police and FBI Most Wanted, Navy Blue, Legendary Cowboy, David Wojnarovich, Graphic Novel, Vivian Meyer, Collage, Elusive Rhythm of Youth and Ways… Article format is completely free : long essays, brief commentaries, biographical notes, some works of fiction… but they are all united by a common effort: to gather the sediment left by contemporary in our everyday experience and in the least ostentatious cultural manifestations.
