Panama surprised and beat the United States in the octagonal CONCACAF
Panama City.
Anibal Godoy’s goal was enough, on Sunday, for Panama to beat the United States 1-0 in the fifth date of the CONCACAF World Cup octagonal final in Qatar.
The goal fell in the 54th minute after a corner kick by Eric Davis, which was linked by Godoy and left goalkeeper Tim Turner, who until that moment was one of the numbers of the match without any room for reaction.
Panama ended their losing streak by knockout to the Bars and Stars team.
Panama up to 8 points. The United States lost their first match in this playoff round, as well as the lead, remaining at 8.
On the sixth day, Thursday, Panama will visit Canada and the Americans will receive Costa Rica.
