TIME chose “Bad Bunny” as one of the best songs of 2022 – Metro Puerto Rico
Bad Bunny kicked off 2022 as the world’s number one artist, and with the release of his album, Un Verano Sin Ti, in May, everything seems to indicate he’ll stick around on that platform for a while longer.
The Puerto Rican singer’s latest album didn’t win a Latin Grammy for “Record of the Year,” but it has garnered worldwide recognition that places it among the best sellers so far in 2022.
The Puerto Rican’s most recent recognition was from the prestigious American magazine, TIME, which published an article with a list Top ten songs of 2022under the title of his song “Tití me pregunta”.
- 10. Hardy “Jack”
- 9. MUNA “Kind of Girl”
- 8. “Unholy” by Sam Smith ft. Kim Petras
- 7. “Ingenuity” by Pheelz ft. BNXN
- 6.”ChevyS10″ From Sudan Archives
- 5. “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacey
- 4. “FNF” by Glorilla
- 3. “Part of the Band” from 1975
- 2. “The Offender” by Tokischa with Anuel (AA) and Ñengo Flow
- 1. “Titi Asked Me” by Bud Bunny
The magazine said of the song “Bad Rabbit”:
“Over the four years that I’ve been writing year-end music reports, we’ve had a self-imposed rule to never feature the same artist in the song and album categories (…) but we’ve had to break tradition because of Bad Bunny, which tops the album and singles charts.”, stated the creators of the list.
And they add:Bad Bunny brings his flexible, sweet voice to life in all its guises, with fast, seasoned verses. She even makes her panting sound sexy. The song’s aesthetic alone propelled it toward total cultural dominance. It reached the top ten in 13 countries“.
Also surprisingly on the list is the Dominican song site Tokischa, which premiered its controversial song “Delincuente” a few months ago, and was stationed in several Latin American countries and some cities in the United States.
