What is the fastest internet in Mexico? This says Netflix indicator – Mexico update
Internet speed has become crucial in times of pandemic. We use video conferencing platforms and streaming services at the same time.
Netflix published its own speed index for July 2021 and it is led by Izzi (cable) and Total Play (optical). The average speed of these services was 3.4 megabits per second (Mbps) for Netflix usage.
In second place are Infinitum (optical fibers), Mecacable (fibers and cables), and Communications (fibers and cables). These providers averaged 3.2 Mbps during July.
In third and last place is Telmex DSL, that is, the service provided over phone lines. The average speed of this service was 2.9 Mbps last month.
Speeds are lower than those offered by US ISPs. In our neighbour, the maximum speeds offered by the first places are 3.6 Mbps, and the services with the lowest speeds offer at least 3.0 Mbps.
The worst speeds were recorded in Indonesia (2.2 Mbps) and Venezuela (1.4 Mbps) according to the Netflix ISP Speed Index.
The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of Netflix’s peak performance for selected Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the world.
