Switching to Gemini from another chatbot can be easier
- Google is testing the ability to import chats from other AI chatbots.
- This feature allows you to easily switch between chatbots.
- Google is also testing the possibility of creating 4K images using Gemini.
There’s no doubting that Gemini is the most important product for Google. Google is therefore continuing to drop new features in Gemini to entice users, and is now testing three new features. But in addition to adding new features for users, Google may also be looking to simply replace another chatbot with Gemini.
Among the features that Google is currently testing in Gemini, the most compelling seems to be the ability to import conversations from other AI chatbots, saving all the information and media shared in those conversations.Alexei Shabanov of TestCatalog discovered a new "Import AI dialogs" option in Gemini's attachment menu.As expected, this solution is intended to help users move away from competing platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot.
Shabanov also issued a pop-up message detailing the process.According to this message, you can simply download your chats from another AI client and just import them into Gemini using this option. There is a link to the detailed process, which we believe will lead to the support page once the feature is live. This article will cover which chatbots are supported, or which formats you'll need to export and then import chat.

Google seems to be testing the quality of the images produced by Gemini. While Gemini allows you to download in "full quality", TestingCatalog has found a way to download images in 2K and 4K resolution. These are listed as "Good for Sharing" and "Good for Printing" image sizes.
This doesn't mean you can order photos directly through Gemini, but the fact that you can already do this using Google Photos suggests the possibility can't be completely ruled out.
Additionally, Gemini is testing a feature called Likeness. The purpose of the separate option is unclear, but it currently redirects to Gemini's existing video verification feature, which lets you check whether a video was created using artificial intelligence.
YouTube already offers a lookalike tool on the platform to scan videos that use your face or voice and ask for them to be removed. With a specific option in Gemini, Google can extend the same functionality to users and tell them whether a video created with Gemini uses similar features. However, this is purely a guess and may not happen.
None of these features are widely available, so we cannot predict their exact functionality. We look forward to testing them or knowing better once they are widely released.
