According to information, Apple is considering redesigning the iPhone Air to remove the second rear camera to address one of the main criticisms of the current model.One report suggests that the second camera could be a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide lens.Previous reports also said that Apple's work on the second-generation model included reducing weight, adding vapor chamber cooling, and improving battery capacity, along with a thinner Face ID module and the addition of focused chips A20 and C2.
The standard iPhone 18 is expected to be an incremental upgrade, adding Apple A20 and C2 chips, 12GB of memory, a 24-megapixel front camera and a simpler camera button.
With the iPhone 18 product line, Apple is believed to be planning to break away from its September release cycle, which splits the list into two windows: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and foldable iPhone are expected in the fall of 2026, while the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 could follow in the spring of 2026.
