Dispatch will not be censored on Xbox, AdHoc Studio confirms, saying it is still "actively working with Nintendo" to censor the Switch version.
Yesterday, at the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview event, we learned that AdHoc Studio's beloved superhero vigilante adventure Dispatch will be coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles.Additionally, like the PS5 and PC versions of the game, the Xbox Series version will not be tested. But the studio is still trying to find a solution for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
After Dispatch took their hands on the Xbox Series X/S in yesterday's event, when AdHoc announced the news on the X page of their studio (formerly Twitter), it is not surprising that one of the first comments was posted about censorship.
It caused an uproar in the game's community that the Switch and Switch 2 versions were censored, especially because until Adhoc clarifies what happened,It seems that the studio is trying to hide the changes made by the players.
So it was at least a bit of a relief to hear that the Xbox version won't suffer the same checkered fate.
As for the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game?Well, it looks like there is still a problem there, because there is no solution yet.
Of course, it's still up for debate whether the studio could actually release an update that would allow the Switch and Switch 2 versions to be on par with the PS5, Xbox, and PC versions.Due to censorship laws in Japan and AdHoc, which cannot be circumvented by releasing a special Japan-only version of the game (CD Projekt RED solved this problem by putting Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2), everything ends forever with Dispatch on Nintendo consoles.
