Vuelta a España Today: What time do Colombians start their time trial?

The 77th edition of the Tour of Spain begins on Friday, the last of the three great races of 2022. The Iberian Tour will have its first captain after a 23.3km time trial for the team in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The stage can be seen on Star+, ESPN, and Caracol from 11:15.

Despite the absence of Nairo Quintana, who decided not to participate after being disqualified in the last Tour de France, seven Colombians will represent the country on five different teams at this year’s edition.
The cyclists are: Rigoberto Uran, Esteban Chaves, Santiago Buitrago, Sergio Higuita, Juan Sebastian Molano, Miguel Angel Lopez and Harold Tejada. Lopez, who finished third at the 2018 Vuelta, was one of the favorites to win the title.

12:10 pm: Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain victorious)
12:30 pm: Sergio Higuita (Bora)
12:34 PM: Juan Sebastian Molano (United Arab Emirates)
12:38 PM: Miguel Angel Lopez and Harold Tejada (Astana)
One of the top contenders is Slovenian Primoz Roglic, who has managed to win the Vueltaa title in the past three years.

Simon Yates of the UK, part of Team BikeExchange-JaycoPara, was a double champion in 2016 and 2018 and is looking to prove himself after missing the last two editions of the race.
Australian Guy Hindley, who came after winning the Giro d’Italia 2022, is also hoping for a podium place.
