BERNE, April 27 (Prensa Latina) British cyclist Ethan Hayter rose to first place in the Tour de Romandie today, winning the second stage between the French town of Morteau and the Swiss city of La Chaux-de-Fonds in a sprint.
Hayter, of Team Ineos Grenadiers, took 3:55.19 hours to cover the 162.7-kilometre section, ahead of Spain’s Juan Ayuso (UAE) and France’s Romain Bardet (DSM), who crossed the finish line at the same time as the winner.

Astana, April 27 (Prensa Latina) The Russian Ian Nepomnyashchi and the Chinese Ding Liren tied today in the thirteenth and penultimate match in Kazakhstan for the World Chess Championship, and the winner will be determined on Saturday in the last match.

Two goals from Callum Wilson in the 28th and 75th minutes, and one goal per capita from Brazil’s Jolinton Cassio (72) and Jacob Murphy (81) sealed the victory for the visitors, who still have an eight-point lead in the race to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. UEFA Champions League and reached their seventh victory in their last eight matches.

CARACAS, April 27 (Prensa Latina) Roxana Gomez of Cuba and Kelvis Padrino of Venezuela today won the 400m athletics event at the V ALBA Games in the first part of a sports day that also includes 10 other finalists.
After securing the lead in the gold medal race, Gomez took her foot off the accelerator slightly in the final meters of the finish line and comfortably entered with a time of 50.75 seconds.
