Artist David Segara from Cabia displays his collection, ‘Stolen hugs’, In the living room Recoleto, Located in Calle Andrés Lambert, 2, in the Duanes de la Mar neighborhood, will open Friday May 14 at 6 pm.
Segarra studied Fine Arts in Altea and was a design professional for several decades, with projects all over Spain. In the past 10 years he has set up exhibitions across the peninsula to bring in his works, all of them innovative and using all kinds of materials and textures to express his feelings.
The artist from Marina Alta also participated in various international competitions and achieved remarkable success, as in Italy and the United States, and gave other group performances with artists from the region.
On this occasion, Segarra is presenting the “Stolen Hugs / Abrazos Robados” collection, presenting his latest work and addressing the importance of physical contact between people and hugs as a sign of affection and an emotional therapy.
Art + gastronomy event
After opening, on May 17th, chefs Clara Puig and Borga Susila, two Michelin stars, are slated to showcase their gastronomy in the same room. David Segarra will talk about his gallery on this occasion as well.
