Starbucks and Netflix partner to produce new series and attract more consumers
Union makes strength. Global coffee chain Starbucks Coffee Company has announced that it has teamed up with Netflix to launch a series called But Have You Read the Book? The goal is to attract more audiences with content that mixes books, series, movies, and of course a good cup of coffee.
This series will share an inside look at how the book fits into a series or movie. In addition, it is worth noting that Ozu Aduba, the star of the famous series Orange is the new black, will be responsible for talking about the process with the actors, creators, and authors who have adapted books for movies or TV series on the streaming service. All this while having a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
For many, coffee is a way to share between friends, so the new relationship they’ve created with Netflix to make the series an exciting way to have these conversations “from third to your customers, wherever they are,” Brady Brewer, Starbucks Marketing Director, commented.
The first episode of a series, but have you read the book? It will air on November 16 and will feature Nella Larsen’s novel “Passing” and a film adaptation that will premiere on Netflix on November 10.. Finally, the episodes will be filmed at Starbucks locations in the US and will be streamed via the Still Watching Netflix channel on YouTube and the Netflix account on Facebook.
