How to Adjust Streaming Quality on Disney +, Apple TV + and Netflix

Nowadays, a good portion of video streaming services offer different viewing qualities. Quality usually correlates with resolution and every platform, with the exception of HBO and Prime Video, allows us to choose the one that suits us best so as not to cause a gap in our data rate. Disney+, Apple TV+, and Netflix (we’ll now see to some extent why) all allow us to control the quality of the video we watch while streaming. Disney +

They are all particularly easy to configure, but of them all, Disney+ is the one that provides the access I think is the easiest. Simply access the Disney+ web page and Find your avatar or profile icon which usually appears in the upper right area.

Saving data: Use minimum data and reboot with SD quality (0.6 GB/hour)

+ Apple TV

For Apple platform users, just open the Apple TV + app on your computer and click on the section “Preferences” who appears Inside the “TV” tab in the options bar at the top of the macOS desktop.

A new window opens with several tabs, but we will take a look at the one with the title “cloning”. If we click, we will see a section titled Transmission Quality. Here we can choose from three options:

Once we choose, All you have to do is click OK And the changes will be saved. In addition, here we can see how another section appears under this section which allows to set the download quality.

Netflix

In the case of Netflix, we can choose the streaming quality, the download quality and in the first case with more variables than other platforms. To do this, we can click on our profile icon, in the upper right, and then click “Account” section.

once inside “Profiles and Parental Control”, we have to click on the profile you want to modify and next to “Playback settings” click “they change”.

In section Data usage per screen We can choose from four options depending on our needs:

automatic– Default video quality and data usage
Little– Basic picture and sound quality up to 0.3 GB/hour
modeStandard video and audio quality of up to 0.7GB/hour
Alto– Optimum video and audio quality of up to 3GB/hour for HD and 7GB/hour for Ultra HD content
