Horror on “American Idol”: A contestant who fainted on stage and had to be rushed to hospital
There was a moment of shock in “American Idol” that aired Monday night in the United States when one of the contestants fainted on stage. This fact caused an uproar among the judges of the reality show, who quickly came to the aid of the young woman, who had to be treated by emergency personnel and hospitalized.
Funk Lagock and his partner, Ronda Felton, were hearing Lionel Richie’s return to “Tell It”, originally written and recorded by Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion. As Lionel was about to tell Funke his opinion of his performance, the woman suddenly fainted and fell to the ground. The judges climbed the stage to help her and one of them, Luke Bryan, noticed that she had injured her chin.
Paramedics immediately reported it to the filming site and took Funk to hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.
After the traumatic event, which was recorded with camera and not edited by production, Richie gave his decision to a dumbfounded Felton. The contestant judges notified that she and Fonk will advance to the next round.
“What we would have said is that they both deserve to succeed.” The singer said. “Congratulations. I know it was shocking, but we are here for you. we are Family”.
Then a statement from the show’s producers appeared on the screen.

The 16-year-old TikTok star did his best with showing Harry Styles’ song “Sign of the Times,” but couldn’t rise to the high profile his duo partner Hannah Everhart had set, who ended up advancing to the next round.
