FreeSports will broadcast the Euroleague in the UK for the 2021-2022 season
The Euroleague is expanding. Europe’s top basketball competition has reached an agreement to create an Open Sports Series FreeSports will be responsible for broadcasting Euroleague matches in the UK during the 2021-2022 season.
FreeSports will be responsible for the non-exclusive broadcast of one match per week of the competition’s regular season, in addition to all encounters Play y last four.
The TV network was launched in 2017 to offer free sports broadcasts in the UK. It’s available on all major TV platforms, including Sky, Freeview and Virgin TV, as well as online through FreeSports Player.
Euroleague recently sold the TV rights to compete in Italy
This way, UK fans will be able to watch the Euroleague alongside the rest of FreeSports content, including sports such as football, rugby, cricket and billiards, snookerOr ice hockey or motorsport.
“To have the opportunity to watch Turkish Airlines Euroleague matches for free for all UK basketball fans is an achievement,” said Alex Ferrer, Euroleague Director of Communications and Marketing.
Two weeks ago, the Euroleague sold the rights to compete in Italy to Eleven Sports for the next four seasons, and shared the broadcast with Sky.
