Daily Guardian: Ohtanis ex-interpreter wired money to Real Housewives star to pay gambling debts
Reality TV star Ryan Boyajian, most notably known for his appearance on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has found himself entangled in a criminal case involving Shohei Ohtani’s former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara.
According to an ESPN report citing unnamed sources, Boyajian allegedly acted as a middleman between Mizuhara and illegal bookmaker Mathew Bowyer. Boyajian, referred to as “Associate 1” in the federal complaint against Mizuhara, reportedly facilitated payments to cover Mizuhara’s gambling debts using a bank account that was also linked to real estate projects.
Mizuhara, who has agreed to plead guilty to stealing millions of dollars from Ohtani to cover his gambling debts, has cleared Ohtani of any wrongdoing in the case.
Boyajian’s attorney declined to comment on the matter but stated that his client is cooperating with the ongoing investigation and is not involved in bookmaking. In exchange for his testimony, Boyajian has reportedly been granted immunity, whereas Bowyer has not been named in the complaint against Mizuhara and has not faced any charges.
On a personal note, Boyajian recently announced his engagement to his partner Pedranti to People magazine, adding another layer of intrigue to his already complicated situation.
As this scandal continues to unfold, more details are sure to come to light, shedding further light on the alleged involvement of Boyajian in this high-profile case. Stay tuned to The Daily Guardian for updates on this developing story.
