THE DENR represented by regional executive director Adeluisa G Siapno and the local government of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental represented by Mayor Gerardo P. Valmayor, Jr., recently inked an agreement for the formulation of the LGUs forest land use plan (FLUP).
Under the memorandum of agreement, both parties shall undertake the forestland use planning within the context of sustainable forest management, biodiversity management, vulnerability assessment/climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction and management and reducing emission from deforestation and forest degradation in order to provide environmental, social and economic benefits for the society.

In observance of Women’s Month Celebration this March, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office under its SSupt Gil Lebin Jr. held a forum on women empowerment and a gift-giving activity in the remote barangay of Garita, San Enrique, Iloilo.
