The song you can listen to below was written by songwriter Nicholas Brittel, who also produced the song with co-star Justin Vernon.
Set as part of the Adam McKay soundtrack starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, it follows the recent collaboration between Ariana Grande and Kid Code on Just Look Up. They have also appeared in the movie.
Bon Iver wrote on Twitter: “This movie is amazing and really important. It gives us lightness and reality through humor and art. I am so excited to be a part of it and work with our talented friend @nicolasbrittle.”
The cast of the series Don’t Look Up is full of stars such as Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet and Cate Blanchett.
In a four-star review for the film, NME wrote: “Even if ‘Don’t Look For’ loses its momentum at the end of the 145-minute episode, it still succeeds as a gritty comedy and a grim cautionary tale. In the end, MacKay made it clear that the Earth is ours to save.”
The movie will be shown on Netflix on Christmas Eve (December 24th). The official trailer was released last month.
For his part, Bon Iver recently announced a series of concerts in the United States in the first half of 2022.
The band will tour Texas, New York, Louisiana, Maine, Pennsylvania, and other US states from March to June. US dates are ahead of UK and European tour dates pushed back to October and November.
In 2019, they released their latest studio album, I. NME gave the album five stars and wrote, “Bon Iver put together this fourth album in an incredibly clever way.”
