The Self Healthcare Association joins the Science and Innovation Charter

The Self-Care Association (Anefp) has joined the Science and Innovation Pact, a document promoted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation that reflects the support of civil society for the role that science and innovation must play in the progress of Spain. .
Ensuring financing in accordance with Spain’s priorities, achieving independence and coordination between R&D and innovation financing entities and integrating, restoring and unifying scientific and innovative talents are the three main commitments of this charter, which have already signed more than 70 organizations in the fields of science, universities, business and unions.
“The health crisis of Covid-19 has highlighted the fundamental role that science plays for Spanish society and in decision-making in departments, as well as the need to create a robust European and European research and development model. It is open to all actors,” said anefp CEO, Jaume Bey.
The agreement is part of the Spanish strategy for science, technology and innovation for the period 2021-2027, whose main goals is to boost private investment in innovation and science to double the total public and private investment in R + D + I, until it reaches 2.12% of GDP in 2027.
