The UK campus of PHBS is celebrating the 125th anniversary of Peking University

Shenzhen, ChinaAnd June 28, 2023/PRNewswire/ — Recently, the HSBC Business School Peking University campus in the UK celebrated the 125th anniversary of Peking University and also celebrated the 5th anniversary of its satellite campus in Boars Hill, Oxfordshire.
As part of the celebration, a forum entitled “New Challenges and New Requirements for Business Studies in Higher Education” was held, in which more than 200 academics and participants from prestigious universities and institutions from around the world participated. Among the attendees were representatives from the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, the University of Bristol, the London branch of China Construction Bank, and the Education Consulting Research Institute in the QS World University Rankings.
During the opening speech prof Wenhai, the Founding Dean of PHBS, highlighted the collaborative efforts that have shaped the PHBS-UK Campus over the past five years. He stressed the complementary role of the campus in promoting the goals of internationalization of PKU and PHBS, and promoting academic exchanges between China, the United Kingdom and Europe.
After the opening remarks, the forum continued with keynote addresses by well-known professionals and experts in their respective fields. Rebecca Leung, Director of Greater China Affairs at HSBC, spoke about HSBC’s long-standing support for PKU and PHBS and the importance of strengthening Sino-British exchanges. Daniel Kan of QS World University Rankings gave a presentation on the low demand for international business education among Chinese students.
