Corua will once again host the Tall Ship Race in 2023

Next year Corua will host the Magallanes-Elcano Tall Ship Race, a competition that returns to the Iberian Peninsula after seven years. In this new edition, the series pays tribute to the first round-the-world voyage, made over 500 years ago by Ferdinand Magellan and Sebastian Elcano, one of the most important in the history of seafaring.

Corua has been selected as one of the venues for the event Upon returning to the Iberian Peninsula, being the number one Spanish destination for racing. The Long Ship Races, which will take place in 2023, will begin on August 15 in Falmouth, UK, and will be the first stop on the itinerary and the only one outside the Peninsular Territory. A Corua welcomes boats from August 24 to 27They have participants and spectators from all over Europe. The Long Ship Races is an event with world-class fleets and will further the local government’s goal of turning the city into a benchmark for international events and activities.

After passing through A Corua, the Tall Ship Race will approach the Portuguese capital from August 31 to September 3, and back again to Spanish territory to close in the Andalusian city of Cadiz, September 7-10.
