United Kingdom Ambassador visits Hidalgo Sightseeing
within the framework of the celebration of 200th anniversary of the end of Mexico’s independenceThe Government of Hidalgo, in coordination with the Presidential Commission for the Commemoration of the Facts, Procedures and Historical Characteristics of Mexico, received a visit from the Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Mexico, Jonathan Benjamin.
Feather huasca, the diplomat was received by the Secretary of the Government, Simon Vargas Aguilar, as representative of Omar Fayed, and by the host mayor, Francisco Mayoral. There he visited the natural formation of basalt prisms and toured with the authorities.

The ambassador learned how to prepare the traditional paste and enjoyed the performance of the bagpipe band of the San Patricio Battalion in the company of residents, public servants and delegations from the United Kingdom.
In his message, Vargas Aguilar thanked the diplomat for the visit, which he said supports ties of friendship with the United Kingdom, a region that directly influenced Hidalgo’s development.
In Pachuca, the delegation was received by Mayor Sergio Baos; He visited the Mining Museum, as well as the commemorative clock, a symbol of the Hidalgo capital, whose machinery is of English origin.
The ambassador had taken office in the country a month earlier, with the delivery of his credentials.
