Apanac Conference 2021, a space to learn more about science
From June 23 to June 25, the Panamanian Association for the Advancement of Science (APANAC) will hold the 18th National Science and Technology Conference under the theme “Science as an Engine of Development and Innovation”
Considered the most important scientific and technological conference in Panama, this year it seeks to become a platform for the exchange of experiences between scientists, technologists, businessmen and members of civil society who seek to improve science and technology in the country. The activity is carried out every two years, but in 2020 it was not possible to implement it due to the problem of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, it will be held in round tables on topics such as vaccination where researcher Xavier Sáez-Llorens will participate where the topic of vaccines will be addressed. The topic of bioethics will also be discussed, with special guests such as Carla Sainz (a bioethicist from the Pan American Health Organization) and Maria Casado from the Bioethics Observatory of the University of Barcelona.
