Retail giant Walmart has recently started selling the MacBook Air with the M1 chip for the affordable price of $699 in the United States. This move marks the first time that Walmart is directly offering Mac computers to its customers.
The laptop can be purchased on Walmart.com and will soon be available at select Walmart stores. This particular model of the MacBook Air, which was released by Apple in November 2020, comes with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. It is available in Gold, Silver, and Space Gray color options and is in brand new condition, according to Walmart.
Previously, other retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy have offered the same model for $749.99. Apple recently discontinued the MacBook Air with the M1 chip following the release of new models featuring the M3 chip. Prior to being discontinued, the MacBook Air with the M1 chip was being sold by Apple for $999 brand new, but the company continues to sell refurbished models starting at $759.
