The United States will propose to the 14 countries of the United Nations Security Council to adopt new international sanctions against North Korea, After Pyongyang fired several ballistic missiles, the US ambassador to the United Nations announced on Wednesday.

His message does not specify what kinds of sanctions may be proposed to the Security Council, Where China and Russia, with veto power and who have been demanding for more than a year for the easing of sanctions against Pyongyangmay oppose the proposal. Five North Koreans were subject to financial sanctions by the US Treasury and the US State Department.
North Korea last week launched a missile it dubbed hypersonic. As the Security Council was meeting on Monday over the incident, Pyongyang claimed to have relaunched a hypersonic missile under the personal supervision of North Korea’s No. 1 Kim Jong-un.
