NEGRENSE runners Jason Padayao and Stephanie Cadosale ruled the recent Panaad sa Negros 13K Run which kicked off from the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City on April 10, 2019.
Padayao, a standout runner from Bacolod City’s Romanito Maravilla National High School, won the men’s division after finishing in 45:15.
Cadosale (57:27) of Escalante City also topped the women’s side.
The winners won P5,000 cash prize each. The run, which was an official event of the ongoing Panaad sa Negros Festival, gathered 335 runners from across Negros Occidental and neighboring provinces.
The festival is scheduled to close on Sunday, April 14, with the Panaad Drumbeating Competition and a fireworks display.
Meanwhile, the Lopue’s Table Tennis Association (LOPTTA) team earned two bronze medals in the 16th Uni-Orient Cup, which took place at the San Beda University gymnasium, April 9.
The LOPTTA elementary boys’ team composed of Anton Andre Bayona, John Belzunce, Joaquin Bragancia, and Franz Jedriek Geganto, finished third place after losing to the Palarong Pambansa team representing the National Capital Region.
LOPTTA high school girls’ team of Micah Tanate, Ayumi Iida, and Glieza Shane Marie Cordova also finished third place, after falling to St. Martin Montesorri School-Manila.
