Negrense, Ilongga sisters still undefeated in BVR Puerto Galera

VETERAN volleybelles from Negros Occidental and Iloilo are fortifying their respective campaigns in the ongoing 2019 Beach Volleyball Republic on Tour at the Dreamwave White Beach in Puerto Galera, March 10.

Bea Tan and Dji Rodriguez of Negros stay undefeated in the competition after a blowout victory against University of Santo Tomas stalwarts Mer Jauculan and Derie Virtusio, 21-11, 21-7. They also walloped another UST squad represented by fellow Negrense MJ Ebro and Cara Rosales, 21-13, 21-9 on Saturday.

Tan is the defending champion in the Puerto Galera leg of the BVR on Tour after winning last year’s edition with Angelique Gervacio.

Meanwhile, Roma Joy and Roma Mae Doromal of Iloilo also kept their immaculate record after blasting the Philippine Air Force tandem of Angel Antipuesto and Mikaela Andres, 21-10, 21-11.

The Doromal sisters also crushed May Ann Pantino and Jossa Cabalsa, 22-20, 21-17.

Ebro, a native of Silay City, Negros Occidental, and Rosales pulled off a win over Rizalie Amaro of Talisay City and Shiela Mae Kiseo of FEU-Diliman, 21-13, 21-10.

Amado and Kiseo earlier scored a 21-10, 21-15 victory over Mary Jean Ruiz and Jonna Mae de Lima of Rizal Technological University.
