Media bowling fellowship, SE7ENS Cup begin in NegOcc

TWO exciting sports events will kick off in Negros Occidental this weekend.

First is the Media Bowling Fellowship Games at the Negros Super Lanes in the Goldenfield Commercial Complex on August 25, 2018.

Organized by the Negros Press Club, the competition is open to active and associate press club members of the province.

Teams will be drawn prior to the start of the games. The weekend activities aim to gather media practitioners to enjoy fun games and strengthen the camaraderie of everyone.

Meanwhile, the Puma SE7ENS Cup football tournament unfolds Sunday at the Sta. Maria Football Fields in Talisay City.

The games will feature 42 teams competing in 10 different categories.

Competing in the U17 Boys (Born 2001 and after) category are Colegio de Santo Tomas-Recoletos (CST-R), STI-West Negros University (STI-West Negros University), the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI), Bacolod United FC, Trinity Christian School (TCS), UNO-R de Talisay, and Maranatha Centurions FC.

Teams from CST-R, TCS, UNO-R A and B, Bacolod United FC, San Enrique FC, and Bata National High School will join the Under 13 Boys (Born 2005 and after) category.

In the U11 Boys (Born 2007 and after) category, the teams are San Enrique FC, the University of St. La Salle Integrated School (USLS-IS), and UNO-R.

In the U15 Boys category are STI-WNU, UNO-R, DBTI, and Bacolod United FC.

UNO-R and USLS; in the Men’s Open are I-Prime, GIGA CHMS, UNO-R CBA, Atletico de Bago, and Escalante FC are in the U19 honors category.

Bacolod United FC, Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) Alumni, IRFC, Real Negrense FC, and WNU Alumni will join the 35-Up category.

In the Women’s Open, UNO-R CAS and Living Stone International School will compete against each other while NOHS will be tested by and UNO-R A and B in the Girls U15 category.

In the U9 Mixed (Born 2009 and after category), the teams are USLS-IS, UNO-R, and DBTI.
