Bike events will dominate the Manggahan Festival 2019 as the province of Guimaras again hosts the “Manggahan Bike Fest” starting May 1.

Organized by John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) in partnership with the local government of Guimaras, various bike events will be mounted at the Woodland Bike Park in Ravina Sur, Sibunag, Guimaras.

Woodland Bike Park is the newest getaway for biking enthusiasts and nature lovers with facilities, accommodations, and tracks ideal for any biking activity. The park and its featured sporting events were created to promote Guimaras Island as the Bike Paradise of the Philippines and the premier biking destination of the country.

On May 1, RG Race Leg 1 and Tour de Quiñon will begin at Plazuela Iloilo, before competing bikers pedal their way for the RG Race Leg 2 at the Guimaras Provincial Capitol Canopy on May 11.

The bike fest will also feature national competitions for both amateur and veteran cyclists.

Manggahan Trail Ride is also expected to attract 300 bikers around the country. The road race will traverse the Island Province of Guimaras on May 12.

Another competitive biking competition is the 4X/BMX, a mountain-cross game which is a new style of mountain bike racing where four bikers race downhill on a prepared BMX-like track. These bikes are generally either full suspension with 3 to 4 inches of travel or hardtails and relatively, have strong frames.

Kid bikers will also enjoy the Kiddie Fun Race which gives electric vibe and fun to all adventure seeker kids. This will be the fifth fun race designed for the children ages 14 years old and below. This is also the most important event for families to get together and have an amazing bike experience at Woodland Bike Park.

The Asian Enduro Series will also entertain the tourists of the Island Province as Asian bikers try to eke out each other at the Ravina, Sibunag on May 18-19.
