“The kids played well in the tournament, the reason why we got the overall championship in this year’s regional competition. We’re looking forward to the same feat in our coming games,” Navales said.
The team also snatched gold medals courtesy of Kylza Chin, Kyle Chin, Art Christian Tanagon, Ehyan Rhodwell Talabucon, Jieben Lark Recabar, Kean Ryth Bornazal, Justine James Diasnes, Felix Mansson, Czarina Morris, Jan Andrew Gancero, Magi Hera Malongayon, Mary Naiz Malongayon, Aryan Nicole Nonis, Exiovince Earlle Arbor, Francesca Alterado, Jelyan Cstine Niones, Jake Christian Mamigo, Joshua Peter Mamigo, Kershel Kail Silava, and John Patrick Palonpon.

More than 500 jins from various taekwondo gyms, schools, and associations in Iloilo, Guimaras, Aklan, Antique, and Capiz joined the tournament.
A. Diasnes is preparing for their next tournament in Batang Pinoy National Finals in Bagiuo.
“We are of course happy to win the title but winning the overall championship is just a bonus. As a coach, I want my players to enjoy and seize every moment of their match. I want them to earn the experience that cannot be taught inside the gym, as they always say experience is the best teacher. I want to see them grow and fight their own battle, conquering their own fears, learn and accept winning and defeat gracefully. In this process, we are slowly teaching them how to handle the reality of life when they’re outside the playing arena,” Navales said.
