THE secondary boys’ basketball team of the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) routed the 4th Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA), 100-58, in the ongoing 2017 Iloilo Schools Sports Council (ISSC) Meet.
ILOPRISAA was too much to handle for the 4th district five when they clashed at the Iloilo Sports Complex (ISC) open court on Dec. 6.
The Vincent “Bing” Conlu-mentored ILOPRISAA was represented by Hua Siong College of Iloilo (HSCI) while 4th CDSA was bannered by cagers Passi City, Iloilo.
Palarong Pambansa veteran Mark Nonoy scored 14 points to give Hua Siong its first victory in the integrated games.
ILOPRISAA was in the driver’s seat in all four quarters as 4th CDSA struggled to find open shots due to the tight man-to-man defense.
In the second game, 3rd CDSA also tasted its first win in secondary boys’ basketball after thrashing 5th CDSA, 67-49.
In the third game, 1st CDSA survived the tenacious 5th CDSA in a scintillating 47-45 win.
