MORE THAN 120 cyclists in Iloilo City will join the “Sikad Kontra Droga” on Aug. 12, 2017 in support of the city government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
Organized by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), the event aims to encourage the public to help in the fight against the illegal drug trade.
ICPO spokesperson Senior Inspector Shella Mae Sangrines said the participants will pedal on the 29-kilometer “fun cycling” line from Plaza Libertad in City Proper to the public plaza of LaPaz district.
This is the second “Sikad Kontra Droga” of the ICPO. The first was held on Dec. 11, 2016.
Free t-shirts and key chains will be given to early registrants.
“We are inviting all Ilonggos to join and support our campaign against drug trafficking because this is everybody’s concern. We have to work hand in hand to eradicate illegal drugs,” Sangrines said.
