ILONGGO volleyball fans will get the chance to see Generika Ayala Lifesavers volleyball team in a match against Central Philippine University (CPU) at the latter’s covered gym, Sept. 7, 2018.
The matchup between two teams is expected to thrill fans as some of the visiting players are true-blooded Ilonggas.
The Generika Ayala Lifesavers will be bannered by former Centralian and Bingawan, Iloilo native Fiona Mae Ceballos along with April Ross Hingpit, Carol Ann Cerveza, Patty Jane Orendain of Bacolod City, Shiela Marie Pineda, Angeli Pauline Araneta, Mikaela Lopez, and Marivic Velaine Menes
CPU will be led by 2018 National PRISAA MVP Glaudine Troncoso, with reinforcements of Shyrel Ambrocio, Ritchelle Amuan, Beatrice Nicole Arabia, Sharice Ann Coscolluella, Daniela Louis Eguico, Danika Galila, Glezel Anne Ledesma, Je-Ann Marie Magnetico, Dessa Mae Puyo, Riza Mae Serrano, Jolina Torres, Addrianne Celiz, Pearl An Denura, Eunice Guevarra, and Euna Gene Piosca.
According to Edwin Laru-an, officer-in-charge of CPU Sports and Athletic Association, the game is free of charge.
“Suportahan ta ang ini nga hampang especially nga may mga Ilonggo nga ara sa Generika team. Fiola Ceballos is from Bingawan, Iloilo and a former CPU volleyball player. Also, Patty Orendain who is from Bacolod will be present in the ball game. This is for free para sa tanan nga mga Ilonggo,” Laru-an said.
