A BOXER from Cadiz City, Negros Occidental bowed to a Cebuano fighter in their Philippine Visayas Professional Boxing Association super flyweight title fight at Parkmall in Mandaue City, Cebu, April 7, 2019.
Renz Rosia lost via unanimous decision to Ponciano Remandiman who unleashed aggressive punches early in the match.
The Negrense boxer was hoping to end his three-fight losing streak, which includes a loss to former International Boxing Organization world flyweight champion Moruti Mthalane of South Africa.
In contrast, Remandiman came into the fight with momentum after knocking down his last two opponents Adrian Lerasan and Vicente Casido.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano pa ang kulang dahil ibinigay ko na ang lahat pero ganun talaga ang boxing. Siguro kailangan ko pang pagbutihin sa practice para sa susunod panalo na,” shared Rosia.
Rosia dropped to 14-8-1 win-loss-draw card.
