A total of P100,000 cash prizes are at stake in the 1st Mobile Legends Inter-district tournament hosted by Iloilo City in March 2019.
Mobile Legends aficionados will have the chance to compete in the first ever tournament organized by the Iloilo City Sports Office led by Mayor Jose Espinosa III.
To recall, Vanessa Jade Pastrana and Arnel De Juan of Mobile Legends Iloilo Official paid a courtesy visit to Iloilo City and pushed the holding of a Mobile Legends Tournament.
Espinosa gave his approval and strong support on the proposal as he sees this activity a way to develop teamwork and sportsmanship among the youth through the multiplayer mobile game.
It’s a fun and engaging way to promote camaraderie and socialization among the youth of Iloilo City. He also integrates e-sports as a part of the Anti-Drug Program of the City of Iloilo.
The competition will kick off on March 16-17 for the district eliminations. The Grand Finals, on the other hand will be on March 24. The top team will take home P30,000 cash prize, while second and third placers will receive P20,000 and P10,000 cash prizes, respectively.
Aside from cash prizes, there will be consolation prizes plus scholarship grants to all member of the team who qualify to the Grand Finals.
“Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML) is now one of the most sought and played mobile games, especially in the country, thus there is a strong desire to create a tournament for the youth who play the game in the City of Iloilo,” shared Espinosa.
