THE PBA Legends kept Anilao Basketball Team Selection at bay to steal a 123-95 victory in the 13th Banaag Basketball Exhibition Game at the Anilao covered gym on Oct. 21, 2017.

The winning team is comprised of PBA legends Gary David, Willie Miller, Noli Locsin, Marlou Aquino, Kenneth Duremdes and slam dunk sensation Aguara Jeffakins and four varsity players from the region.

The host team opened the game with a 10-6 lead in the first five minutes.

But the PBA veterans capitalized on their experience to grab the lead, 48-40 with 2:30 remaining in the first half.

The legends relied on Fritz Infante of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) who clicked on all cylinders and hit three consecutive trifectas before heading to the second half.

The legends scored their first 14 possessions in the second half. But the Anilao cagers bombed three 3-pointers in the third canto to close the gap.

The visiting squad shot 75 percent from the floor through Gary “El Granada” David who led the way with 35 points.

Before the game, more or less 65 students and out-of-school-youth (OSY) from different barangays of Anilao participated in the basketball sports clinic facilitated by David.

The activity was organized by 21 punong barangays under Liga President Lyka Joy A. Debuque.

The event was supported by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Anilao headed by Mayor Nathalie Ann F. Debuque.
