Space-Dining For $500 Million: Top Chefs Latest Offering
SpaceVIP, a luxury space tourism company, is set to revolutionize the dining experience by offering gourmet meals in the stratosphere for an astronomical price of nearly $500,000 per ticket. The company has enlisted the talents of Danish chef Rasmus Munk from the Michelin-starred restaurant Alchemist to design a one-of-a-kind menu for this exclusive experience.
Guests who embark on this gastronomic adventure will have the opportunity to dine while watching the sunrise from a breathtaking altitude of 100,000 feet above sea level. The menu ideas include aerogel-inspired food and encapsulated aroma, promising a truly out-of-this-world culinary journey.
The six-hour trip, set to debut next year, will also offer wifi on board for livestreaming the experience. Despite the hefty price tag, there has been a surge in demand for this unique opportunity, with SpaceVIP founder Roman Chiporukha expecting to secure all passengers in the coming weeks.
Unlike traditional space travel, the spacecraft built by Space Perspectives requires no special training or gear, making it accessible to a wider range of clientele. Test flights for the space balloon trip are scheduled to begin next month, allowing guests to experience a taste of what’s to come.
In addition to SpaceVIP, Zephalto, a France-based company, is also jumping on the space dining bandwagon by offering gourmet meals in space for $132,000 starting in 2025. With the rise of luxury space tourism, it seems that the final frontier is no longer out of reach for those with deep pockets. Stay tuned for more updates on this out-of-this-world culinary experience.
