THE U.S. Government exchange program Alumni recently marked their 70th year recently with a series of noble and festive commemoration activities with a grand alumni reunion.
The day’s first event was a coral planting activity in Guimaras Island. Apart from the actual planting of the corals, the activity will also involved a session with youth leaders on the importance of coral reef and youth’s role in protecting the ocean.
Highlighting the celebration dubbed “U.S-PH Exchange Alumni Reconnects” was, a gathering of several U.S. Government exchange program alumni from across Visayasin a memorable dinner cum camaraderie at Csomo Iloilo’s legendary Casa Real, Old Capitol Building.
” We are celebrating the 70th year of U.S.-Philippine exchanges this 2018 and would like to take this opportunity to gather our alumni in Visayas and hear of the great things they are doing in their communities” said U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Counselor Philip Roskamp who graced the affair with Cultural Affairs Officer Matt Keener and Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr.
