THE Rotary Club of Iloilo (RCI), the mother club of Rotary International District 3850, had a changing of the guards last July 29, 2017 at the Sunset Terrace Ballroom of the legendary Hotel Del Rio.
Immediate Past President Lemuel “Lem” Fernandez passed the Gavel of Authority to President Roberto “Bobby” Pison to lead the club for the third time.
President Bobby’s term is also very significant as he will lead the officers and members of the third oldest Rotary Club in the Philippines to its 85th year this Rotary Year 2017-2018.
Also sworn in by inducting officer and Rotary International District 3850 Governor Enigardo “Jundad” Legislador, Jr. were Vice President Francis Allan Angelo, Secretary Arturo Muyco, Treasurer PP Arsenio Rafael III, Auditor Peter John Raymund Pacheco, Sergeant-at-Arms Jesus Anayas, President-elect (RY 2018-2019) Lydio T. Pedregosa and the Board of Directors comprised of Dr. Herman Lagon, Dr. Wilangelo Mana-ay, Patrick Murray, Zinon Setias, Dr. Nordy Siason and IPP Lemuel Fernandez.
The RCI Rotary Anns, who were inducted by Past District Governor Enrique “Eking” Arguelles, is led by President Fe Mercedes Pison, VP Evelyn Setias, Secretary Gary Angel Mana-ay, Treasurer Melinda Rafael, Asst Secretary/Treasurer Jean Arguelles, Auditor Merline Posecion, and PRO Annie Pedregosa. The Board of Directors includes Perla Arguelles, Asuncion Faro, Josephine Encarnacion, Jane Manila, and Consuelo Muyco.
Gracing the celebration is famed business genius and family businesses guru Prof. Enrique M. Soriano III.
A medley of retro songs and dance numbers performed by RC officers and members under the baton of top terpsichorean Eddie Juatas added pomp to the nite, dahlings!
