THE Great British Festival added color to Iloilo City through various activities at SM City Iloilo recently.
Leading the stellar occasion was no less than British Ambassador Asif Ahmad and UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy Richard Graham.
Senator Franklin Drilon along with Iloilo city Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and Iloilo Provincial Administrator Raul Banias welcomed the British contingent during the launch-cum-press con at Richmonde Hotel of Iloilo Business Park.
The event was a showcase of British excellence in innovation, creativity, film, education, fashion and art. This is the first time the British Embassy brought the festival to Our City of Love where shoppers at SM City Iloilo enjoyed the three-day event with free movie screenings and great discounts from participating British Brands, dahlings.
“As I toured around, Iloilo City is indeed a rapidly emerging area. We are looking to explore even more business opportunities in this part of the country, to bring in new products and services from british Companies, and tap into local skills and talents, including to create jobs locally. Education is a sector where UK has particular expertise to offer,” Ambassador Ahmad said.
