AN ILONGGA head turner was the centerpiece of a photo exhibit highlighting this year’s Best Dressed Women of the Philippines (BDWP) at the Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.
A yearly activity of the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), the photo exhibit placed the spotlight on Darlene Ardeña-Go of Iloilo.
The exhibit also featured Yoli Ayson, Joy Jabile-Ejercito, Maru Go, Mandaluyong City Rep. Queenie Gonzales, Malou Tamayo Martinez, jewelry designer Tim Tam Ong, Merci Poblador Padolina, Bettina Nicole Reyes, Malabon City Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, Krisha Almeda-Sia, Mary Carla Christine Reyes-Sia, Jasslyn Tan, Michelle Copok Tan, Dr. Mary Jane “MJ” Torres, Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay Villar, and Faith Valerinne Tan Wee.
The powers behind the prestigious event were also present – Society Chronicler and Icon Johnny Litton; Antonio Ma. J. Guerrero, PCS chairman; Jose Sandejas, PCS vice chairman; Dr. Kelly Salvador, PCS trustee; Angola Consul Helen Ong, BDWP event chairperson; and members of the selection and organizing committee comprised of yours truly as adviser, project head Roselle Rebano, and team member Mabel Abaño.
The PCS Awards, which started in 2004, is the country’s longest-running charity fashion show, which continues to raise funds to help less fortunate Filipinos battling cancer.
Considered as one of the much awaited and biggest society event in country, The Best Dressed Women of the Philippines awards will culminate in a flamboyant Annual Awards Ball on Sept. 20, 2018 at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque.
Warmest congratulations to Darlene Aredeña-Go, a Cebu-based jeweler who is married to business mogul Freddy Go. They are blessed with three brilliant children – Fred Dominic, Dericka, and Faye Danica.
