WITH many new bars and restaurants opening their doors in Iloilo and Bacolod, one watering hole continues to thrive and enjoy positive reviews – Brewery Gastropub Iloilo.

And the fun never stops as Brewery Gastropub opened in Bacolod City recently.

Their secret? They have a well-stocked bar of more than 100 imported and local craft beers (the list is growing) and they have a wide array of well-prepared appetizers, salads, soups, pizza, pasta, and main dishes made from the best ingredients.

Here are some recommended house specialties that you do not want to miss. They are good for sharing.

Rack of Skewers — this house specialty is a mix of Thai Pork, Lemongrass Chicken, Veal Sausage and Hungarian Sausage.

Slow Cooked Beef Belly — U.S. Beef Belly is cooked and made tender in the oven for eight hours with herbs and spices and served with red wine reduction in order to create the perfect meal for beef lovers.

Asian Buffalo Chicken Wings — this bestselling appetizer comes with a sweet yet spicy sauce served with blue cheese dip and celery.

Mozzarella Bombs — Italian mozzarella cheese coated in seasoned crumbs and deep fried to golden brown, served with Pomodoro sauce, our homemade tomato sauce.

Angus Beef Tapa — slices of fatty Angus beef marinated in soy sauce, calamansi and native vinegar.

Salted Egg Hand Cut Fries — freshly cut large potatoes, fried and cooked to perfection then coated with salted egg.

Brewery Gastropub Iloilo is an offshoot of Rooftop Brewery in Smallville, the city’s prime dining, and entertainment destination. Then, it became Brewery Gastropub and transferred to another popular lifestyle place in Pison Avenue in 2015.

Not only Ilonggos patronize Brewery Gastropub but also those coming from nearby towns and cities like Bacolod and Cebu. After some clamor from the out-of-towners, the owners finally gave in and opened a branch in Bacolod City in April 2017. They also opened Brewer’s Kitchen by Brewery Gastropub in Mandaue City last June 16, 2017.

“Brewery is the first in Iloilo to serve Italian Merlot wine by the draft. We also serve popular draft beers such as Hoegaarden and Stella Artois. We are also the first Bacolod and Cebu gastropub to serve draft wine,” said chef Pauline, the woman behind the mouthwatering dishes of Brewery Gastropub.

Chef Pauline is a passionate chef who also owns Al Dente, Al Dente Catering, Freska Hometown Buffet, and Farm to Table.

Her formal education in the culinary arts includes the Professional Chef Series at the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, New York), Master Class in Cooking at The New School-Manhattan and Food Styling Classes at the Institute of Culinary Education – New York. She also gets inspiration from food that she encounters during her travels.

Brewery Gastropub is the perfect place for good food and your night experience. It’s the perfect place to “break bread” with families, relatives, friends and colleagues.
