THE people behind Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School, the grand champion of the 2019 Dinagyang Festival’s Dagyang trial dance contest, recently gathered to give thanks for their well-deserved victory.
The grand celebration was highlighted by a thanksgiving luncheon hosted by no less than the upscale The Mansion Hotel, one of the frontline sponsors of the champion tribe, dahlings!
The Mansion’s Team led by Nonoi Ybiernas, Ferdinand Yanes, Chef Arnie Pineda, Arvin de Leon, Derick Lim, Vicky Escoto, and Raul Tan excitedly welcomed the proud Ilonganon performers and trainors.
Seen at the scene proudly carrying their trophy were Ilonganon’s musical director Raymund Ferolino, costume designers Paul Jerome “Tata” Pinuela and Joebert Modina, artistic director Rheno Mar S. Soqueño, and associate directors Louie Gepulla and Ron Matthews Espinosa.
Aside from winning the P350,000 cash prize and trophy, Ilonganon also gets the right to represent the city to the Aliwan Festival of Festivals later this year.
The champion tribe also won best choreographer and best in discipline special awards and best in choreography for the minor awards.
Ilonganon is managed by Jalandoni Memorial National High School Principal Salvador M. Besares while the choreographer is Gerlin G. Francisco.
Congrats guys and cheers!
