THE month of January ushers a series of spectacular revelries offered all over the country in honor of the Señor Sto. Niño (Holy Child Jesus).

On Jan 27-28, 2018, the City of Iloilo will reverberate with drums and dances for the 50th edition of the Dinagyang Festival, the undisputed best tourism event of the Philippines.

In keeping with our devotion and to provide more attractions to the festival, the Señor Sto. Niño Festival Queen of Iloilo Inc., a charitable production, will once again hold the most prestigious beauty pageant in this part of the country –  the 18th Iloilo Festival Queen and Hiyas sang Iloilo 2018.

In almost two decades, Iloilo Festival Queen and Hiyas sang Iloilo 2018 has produced talented and beautiful Ilongga queens who represented our region to various competitions and events.

The lovely candidates who made it to the final pageant are Thea Mae Tabares of University of San Agustin, Rozl Anne Descartin of Western Institute of Technology, Carries Mae Lapalis of University of Iloilo-Phinma, Ana Vanessa Emboltorio of Western Institute of Technology, Sharmie Solocio,Ma Janniel Banares, Precious Buenafe of Oton National High School, Chezen Farillon of University of Iloilo-Phinma and Liezel Grace Caleze of West Visayas State University.

Watch these candidates as they compete in the following pre-pageant events: January 19, 2018 for the Talent and Festival Costume competition at Robinsons Place-Jaro; Jan 20 for the Swimsuit and Fashion show at SM City Iloilo; Fashion parade and swimsuit competition on Jan 22 at Robinsons Place-Iloilo;  and  on Jan 23, the evening gown competition and preliminary Interview at Robinsons Place-Iloilo.

All events will start at 4 p.m. in the respective venues.

The 2018 Iloilo Festival Queen and Hiyas sang Iloilo will climax finally in a glittering beauty and brains pageantry at the Fountain Area of Robinsons Place-Iloilo on Jan 24 at 5:30 p.m.
