Prince Charles of Wales has highlighted the strengthening of UK-Cuban relations – Escambre
Prince Charles of Wales meant strengthening relations between the United Kingdom and Cuba in the rescue of cruise passengers from MS Braemar a year earlier on 18 March.

He said “Operation Bremer provides more evidence of strengthening relations between our countries” and in the United Kingdom we have appreciated such remarkable human gestures.
Similarly, the prince recalled a visit to this capital in March 2019 with his wife Duchess Camilla of Cornwall.
Since the end of February 2020, cruise ships with 682 passengers and 381 crew members, some of them confirmed with Kovid-19, requested help from Caribbean countries.
The ship of the British company Fred Olsen was rejected by many countries and anchored for a few days off the coast of the Bahamas.
In response to a request from the British government, Cuba allowed the ship to berth, and on 18 March made possible the repatriation of passengers by air.

The region of Havana and Great Britain has maintained uninterrupted historical ties since 1902.
In recent years, these nations have deepened political dialogue with a desire to improve economic relations and cooperation in areas of common interest such as energy, agriculture, health, and education.
On this day, Cuba participated in the 10th UK-Caribbean Virtual Forum as an observer country.
