Powerball jackpot soars to a whopping $532M
The Powerball jackpot continues to climb, reaching an estimated $532 million after no tickets matched the winning numbers in the latest drawing on Saturday night. The winning numbers for the drawing were 30, 36, 49, 52, 63 with a red Powerball of 16, and a Power Play of 5X.
While the jackpot remains unclaimed, two lucky players from Florida and New York each won $1 million, and a player from Ohio walked away with $2 million. The current jackpot amount offers a one-time cash payout option of $260.1 million.
The next Powerball drawing is set to take place on Monday, giving players another chance to try their luck. The last jackpot winner was on Jan. 1 in Michigan, snagging an $842.4 million prize, which marked the 10th highest in Powerball history.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The popular game is played in 45 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with the majority of proceeds staying in the selling jurisdiction.
With the jackpot continuing to climb, many are eagerly awaiting the next drawing in hopes of becoming the next big winner. Will the jackpot be claimed on Monday, or will it continue to grow until the next lucky ticket is sold? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates on The Daily Guardian.
