MJ SOLITANA, 34, and Alex Ordoyo, 33, both of Santa Barbara, Iloilo, successfully mounted a 2-person, wet-and-dry art exhibition dubbed “Rendezvous” last Dec 9, 2017, at the Wooden Living Alternative Exhibition Space in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
“Rendezvous” means the meeting of the two artists who possess a mentee and mentor relationship; while “wet and dry” art exhibition refers to the medium and techniques applied to the artworks: “wet” signifies the ballpen ink and the watercolor and “dry” applies to the paper.
Solitana said her artworks are about friendship, love, and nature as she wanted to convey their value in the lives of people.
Ordoyo used children as his subject to highlight playfulness which is also reflected in utilizing watercolor to art.
The exhibition is a part of their lives and successes where they express themselves to society.
Solitana and Ordoyo made “Rendezvous” amazing, meaningful, and brilliant which resulted in their shared priceless happiness.
